Day 1 Thursday, November 14, 2019 | Depart USA

Depart the USA on overnight flights to Rome, Italy. 


Day 2 Friday, November 15, 2019 | Rome | Assisi

Arrive in Rome and meet your Italian Tour Manager. Transfer by private motor coach to Assisi, the City of Peace. Check in to your hotel and freshen up. Celebrate an evening Mass at St. Mary of the Angels, followed by a Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Assisi. (D)


Day 3 Saturday, November 16, 2019 | Assisi 

Celebrate Mass this morning at the Basilica St. Francis, followed by a tour. Take a walking tour of the medieval town, ending at the Church of St. Clare to see her tomb and the cross that spoke to St. Francis, the Cross of San Damiano. This afternoon, enjoy free time to stroll through this charming village with its quaint shops. Overnight in Assisi. (B)


Day 4 Sunday, November 17, 2019 | Lanciano | San Giovanni Rotundo

After breakfast and hotel check-out, depart for Lanciano to see the 8th century Eucharistic Miracle. You can still see the bread and wine that is now preserved in the form of flesh and blood. Celebrate Mass. After lunch on your own, depart for San Giovanni Rotondo and check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo. (B |D)


Day 5 Monday, November 18, 2019 | San Giovanni Rotundo | Polignano a Mare

This morning, celebrate Mass at Santa Maria delle Grazie, the second most visited Catholic shrine in the world. Following Mass, tour the sanctuary, the old church and the crucifix from which St. Padre Pio received the stigmata in 1918. Then, visit the tomb of Padre Pio at the new shrine where you will enjoy a guided tour of the shrine and other important surrounding sites. Stop for a visit to Mont Sant Angelo to pray at the Grotto of St. Michael the Archangel. Many Popes and Saints have prayed at this grotto seeking the protection of St. Michael. After lunch on your own, continue your drive along the Adriatic coast and check in to your hotel in the seaside village of Polignano a Mare. Dinner on your own this evening. Overnight in Polignanao a Mare. (B)


Day 6 Tuesday, November 19, 2019 | Day Trip to Matera

After breakfast, depart for a day trip to the “Underground City” of Matera. Take a guided tour of the ancient city, “Sassi”, and the 13th Century-old Cathedral. Celebrate Mass. Enjoy a group wine-tasting lunch and have the remainder of the afternoon free to explore and shop. (Please note that the terrain can be challenging for some.) Return to Polignanao a Mare for dinner on your own and overnight. (B |L)


Day 7 Wednesday, November 20, 2019 | Bari | Manoppello | Rome 

This morning, breakfast and hotel check out. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Nicholas in Bari and pray at the tomb of this beloved saint. Then depart for Rome, stopping enroute in Manoppello to see the burial cloth that bears the likeness of the Face of Jesus. Finally, arrive in the Eternal City and check-in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B |D)


Day 8 Thursday, November 21, 2019 | Christian Rome

Take a guided Christian Rome Tour to see some of the most spectacular churches in Rome, like St. Peter’s, St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran, which is the Cathedral of Rome, and St. Paul’s Outside the Walls. Celebrate Mass. The remainder of the evening is free for leisure. Dinner on your own and overnight in Rome. (B)


Day 9 Friday, November 22, 2019 | Vatican Museums | Farewell Dinner 

This morning, celebrate Mass. Then visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where you will view some of the most inspiring works of art, including Michelangelo's magnificent fresco of the Last Judgment. Tour St. Peter's and see Michelangelo's masterpiece, the Pieta. This evening, celebrate the end of your pilgrimage with a special Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Rome.  (B |D)


Day 10 Saturday, November 23, 2019 | Rome | USA 

This morning transfer available to the Rome Airport (FCO) for optional group return flights home. (B)
